Exterior


If you want to stand out while you’re driving down the streets of Daytona, you can’t go wrong with the new Kia Seltos. This stylish SUV can be painted in a wide palette of attractive colors like Neptune Blue, Mars Orange, and Cherry Black. Not only that, but certain models are available with a two-tone exterior featuring a Clear White or Cherry Black roof.
 
Additional available design elements include a black and chrome front grille, half chrome door handles, chrome window surround, full LED lighting from front to back, a sunroof, and 18-inch alloy wheels. When it comes to function, you can opt for available roof rails, heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and projector beam fog lights.
 
For a truly exclusive look, turn to the Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition. This thrilling version of the Seltos adds special elements like a unique black grille, sport-design side still trim, black sport-design roof rails, and matte black finish 18-inch wheels.
 

Performance


The standard powertrain on the 2023 Seltos is a 2.0-liter engine that is paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission. With this setup, you can expect to feel up to 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque behind the wheel. You’ll also get up to 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.[1]
 
For more power, opt for the Seltos Nightfall Edition or the Seltos SX. Both of these trims are equipped with a beastly 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a smooth-shifting seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. Output with this powertrain amounts to 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Even with that increased power, you’ll still get impressive fuel economy at up to 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.[1]
 
All 2023 Seltos models come with a Drive Mode Select system that lets you choose between Normal, Eco, and Sport. And for a bit more control on slippery roads, the available Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive system with Center Lock uses sensors to distribute power to the appropriate wheels.
 

Interior


Versatility and comfort are the top priorities in the new Seltos’ cabin. The seats can be cloth, SynTex (synthetic leather), or a combination of both. Color options include Black, Gray, and Plum. In regards to space, you’ll have room for up to five people between the front row and the two-step reclining second-row seats. When you fold those rear seats down, you’ll have up to 62.8 cubic feet of space to utilize for all kinds of items. All models also have a dual-level cargo floor in the back that provides added storage for smaller things.
 
As you move through the new Seltos lineup, you’ll find a host of comfortable and convenient amenities. The Seltos EX comes with a 10-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, making long drives more enjoyable. This model also comes with heated front seats and one-touch auto-up/down windows.
 
But you don’t even have to go up that high in the trim lineup for extra convenience. By selecting the Seltos S, one above the base, you’ll get a remote start system, automatic climate control with a de-fog system, rear A/C vents, a sliding armrest with a storage bin, LED interior lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped gear shift knob.
 

Technology


The upscale interior of the new Kia Seltos is also incredibly advanced. You can easily connect your smartphone to the standard 8-inch touch-screen display via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. This lets you use all of your favorite compatible apps on the go. You can also connect your devices via Bluetooth® or with the front console USB data port.
 
A larger 10.25-inch touch-screen display is standard on the Seltos EX. This model is also equipped with a navigation system, SiriusXM® satellite radio, and Kia Connect. The Kia Connect system gives you remote access to the Seltos to do things like lock or unlock the doors, locate the vehicle, check on diagnostics, and more! The Seltos EX also adds a convenient wireless phone charger so you can power up devices easily while you drive.
 
Other tech features that become standard after the base trim include front and rear USB charging ports as well as a front 12-volt power port. If you’ve got it in the budget, splurge for the Seltos SX and its eight-speaker Bose® Premium Audio System with a sound-connected mood lamp that pulses to the beat of your music.
 

Safety


In addition to the tech that makes your life easier, the Seltos is equipped with a host of driver-assist systems to keep you safe, too. Standard features include Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, a Rear-View Monitor, and Rear Occupant Alert.
 
Available safety systems include added Cyclist Detection for the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system, Highway Driving Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist-Rear, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.
