2023 Kia Soul | Daytona Beach, FL

If you want a vehicle that stands out among the rest, you have to consider the Kia Soul. This iconic crossover has its own distinct style that is instantly recognizable. On top of that, the Soul is fun to drive and can be equipped with a ton of advanced infotainment and safety technology.

The 2023 Kia Soul is available at four trim levels: LX, S, GT-Line, and EX.

Exterior

New for 2023, the Kia Soul is available in a couple of two-tone paint options. Choose Clear White or Surf Blue to go with the “floating” Fusion Black roof to give your Soul extra appeal. The 2023 Soul measures just 165.2 inches long and 70.9 inches wide, making it great for driving in the city and finding a parking spot on the busy streets of Daytona Beach.

Standard exterior features that you can expect to see on the Soul include a black grille with silver accents, power-adjustable side view mirrors, positioning multi-reflector headlights, heated rear glass with a rear window washer/wiper, and 16-inch steel wheels. However, you can take the exterior of the Soul to new heights with even more style and functionality.

Certain trims — like the sporty Soul GT-Line — offer a Gloss Black grille with a Chrome finish, heated outside mirrors (power-adjustable), LED headlights and fog lights, a sunroof with a sunshade, and larger 17- or 18-inch wheels.

Performance

All 2023 Soul models are equipped with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood that works with Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission to produce 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The LX, S, and GT-Line models all offer up to 28 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined while the top EX drops only slightly due to its increased weight (with more features).[1]

While every model has the same engine, you still have control behind the wheel with the Soul’s Drive Mode Select system. This standard feature offers a variety of ways to control parts of the engine, air conditioning system, and transmission to suit your style.

Interior

The cabin of the new Kia Soul is modern and comes with a host of convenient and comfortable features to make every drive enjoyable. The seats can be covered in black or gray cloth or a combination of cloth and SynTex (synthetic leather). A 10-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support is standard on Soul S and above trims while heated front seats are standard on the Soul EX.

Other standard and available comfort amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, a Sport design steering wheel (GT-Line), soft-touch dash and upper door panels, and painted matte silver accent trim.

You’ll also have a ton of flexible room to adjust to your needs in the Kia Soul. With the 60/40 split-folding rear seat down, you can utilize up to 62.1 cubic feet of cargo space. The Soul EX adds a dual-level cargo board that transforms the flat floor to an undertray. This model also comes with a cargo cover so you can keep valuables out of view.

Technology

The future is now, and it’s in the all-new 2023 Kia Soul. The standard 8-inch touch-screen display connects seamlessly with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ so you can use your favorite compatible smartphone apps on the go. You can also connect via Bluetooth® or through the front console USB data port.

When you opt for the Soul S, you’ll upgrade to a larger 10.25-inch touch-screen display with navigation and Kia Connect. Letting you access the vehicle from afar, Kia Connect allows you to do things like start the engine, lock or unlock the doors, check on vehicle stats, and more. You’ll also get access to SiriusXM® satellite radio on this trim, with tons of commercial-free music and shows. The Soul S adds convenience for charging, too, with two front USB charging ports and a wireless phone charger.

You can go even further with the tech inside your 2023 Soul thanks to features like the available Harman Kardon® premium audio system with 10 speakers. Elevate your musical experience with the available speaker lights that pulse to the beat of your tunes and come with multiple ambience themes.

Safety

No matter where you’re headed in the 2023 Kia Soul, you can rest easy knowing that this stylish SUV is equipped with some of the smartest safety systems available today. Right from the start, you’ll have peace of mind with Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection, which is ideal for city driving.

When it’s time to get on the highway, standard features like Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Warning will definitely come in handy. But Rear Occupant Alert is great to have at all times, as the system will remind you to check the back seat for any unattended passengers or items.

If you choose the 2023 Kia Soul S, you’ll get even more security with road-trip-ready features like Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Change Assist. You’ll also get Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, which uses sensors to send audio and visual signals to let you know if other cars, bikes, motorcycles, or other vehicles are passing behind you as you are in reverse.

One of the most innovative available safety systems on the Kia Soul, though, is Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go. This advanced feature uses a next-generation radar system to maintain a safe distance between you and a vehicle ahead when you’re cruising. It can also stop the vehicle entirely if traffic comes to a standstill.
