New for 2023

One of the big things that has changed for the new Sportage is the addition of the X-Line and X-Pro trims. These capable models add more rugged, off-road-ready features to the SUV that help you on your many journeys. This includes all-terrain tires, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, roof rails, and more.

In addition to offering more adventure-ready models, the 2023 Sportage also arrives with an impressive interior that’s spacious and can be filled with many available technology and safety features. In fact, the new Sportage offers best-in-class rear-seat legroom and a rear cargo capacity that is the largest in its segment. When it comes to tech, you’ll find the available 12.3-inch curved display screens to be absolutely breathtaking.

Comfort

The cabin of the 2023 Sportage is modern, tech-savvy, and spacious. The cockpit is futuristic and features angular air vents as well as coat hangers molded behind the front headrests. The useable seatbacks also house USB ports and an integrated hook for shopping bags. Along with utility, the interior is spacious, offering class-leading rear legroom (41.3 inches), best-in-class rear cargo capacity (39.6 cubic feet), and a dual-level cargo floor.

Its interior is also well-appointed with high-quality materials and convenient features that make every day easier. Additional comforts include available heated and ventilated front seats, heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an available adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support. To top it all off, the Sportage SX model and above come with a standard Driver’s Seat & Outside Mirror Integrated Memory System that makes switching drivers simple.

Technology

The interior of the new Kia Sportage was inspired by modern architecture and more, creating a space that is both comfortable and advanced. The futuristic driver cockpit offers up to almost 25 inches of available screens to use, which encompasses the 12.3-inch digital cluster for driving information and the 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity is standard, as are other useful tech features like Bluetooth® and a USB-C charging port.

The available 12.3-inch touch-screen display works seamlessly with navigation and Kia Connect, which lets you remotely control the Sportage with your personal device to do things like start the vehicle or lock/unlock the doors. Rounding out the impressive tech is the available Harman Kardon® premium surround sound system with HALOsonic® that transforms the cabin into a concert hall.

Design

The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage has been completely redesigned, exuding the new “Opposites United” design philosophy. To start, you’ll notice an angular front end featuring a sharp, black grille with silver accent trim and flanked by arrow-like LED headlights. This black and silver theme continues for the base model and includes the front and rear skid plates, window surround, and wheel arch moldings.

To add to the sporty appeal of the newly designed Sportage, the SUV has a rear spoiler, stylish rear LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Across the lineup, the 2023 Sportage can be painted in one of 11 exciting colors as well as three two-tone options that give the vehicle a “floating” Ebony Black roof.

Extra appeal can be found on the new X-Line and X-Pro models. These rugged trims are not only capable, but they also come with a bit more flair than the standard Sportage. The Sportage X-Line comes with unique front and rear bumpers with a satin chrome surround, gloss black side mirrors, gloss black roof rack, raised roof rack rails, and exclusive 19-inch wheels. The Sportage X-Pro builds even further on the off-road-readiness of the X-Line and adds B.F. Goodrich all-terrain tires, 17-inch matte black off-road wheels, and LED fog lights.

Performance

Along with new technology offerings, the Kia Sportage has a new 2.5-liter I-4 engine under the hood that offers up more power than ever before. With its also new eight-speed automatic transmission, you can expect to get as much as 187 horsepower behind the wheel of this Kia SUV. Beyond that, the Sportage can be equipped with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD).

The available Active AWD system utilizes electro-hydraulic coupling and a center-locking differential to distribute power evenly between the wheels to provide the best traction in various road conditions. Not only that, but the AWD Sportage models also offer 1.5 additional inches of ground clearance for off-roading fun.
